For me, I found it in painting furniture. There is something so completely satisfying about tapping into my artistic side and transforming a piece from it's current state into a vision of my own creation. Rewarding! (Although there are many mess-ups along the way, believe me...) I owe much of this endeavor to my mom, a beautifully skilled painter and my focal point for inspiration. Many of the projects you will find on this blog have been graced by her, and I couldn't be more proud to say that I am not a one woman show.
As for the name, Inspired Furnishings, it's sort of comical how it came about. Laying in bed one night brainstorming business names with my hubs, I just kept saying what if...what if.. and then never finishing my thought. Well Mr Genius sitting next to me just goes, that's it! IF! And from there I thought about what I'm trying to accomplish in all of this. And it always came back to INSPIRATION. I want to be inspired and DO inspired. That's as simple as I can put it and my hope is that it resonates with you.
And now it's time to PAINT ON!
